1 to 1 Training and Behavioural Session at your home.

A 1 to 1 Behavioural  Training Session is ideal to  you start on your training journey with a puppy or adult dog, or to help you with any training problems you may be encountering. I am a great believer in giving my clients knowledge as to 'why' and 'how'.  For instance why is my dog jumping up, or not reponding to recall, or mouthing.  We can then look at how to change this behaviour, with explanations as to why it will work. This knowledge is essential so clients know how to react in any circumstance, training has to be achievable, be practical and work in 'real' life.  
Every dog learns differently according to breed and experience, I can help explain why some breeds tend to act in certain way, and how we can use this positiveley to our advantage. 
By training within your home environment we can work with very specific exercises, using the house, the garden and the local environment to help with the behaviours and with training.
Some of the exercises we cover in the Behavioural 1 to 1 Training Sessions are:

• Focus exercises to build engagement. 
• Training Exercises such as Sit/auto-sit,  Down, Auto-check-ins, Recall, Loose Lead Walking, Emergency Stop,  building to impulse control exercises such as  waits and stays.
• Recall is as we know so important, this will be covered in detail with help to put practical management in place as needed through positive use of long-lines and a harness, allowing freedom while training.
• Working with exercises to help rescue dogs settle into their new homes with focus and control.
• To help with confidence in anxious dogs
• To work as part of a behaviour modification programme to help with behavioural problems.
• Ideas on how to enrich your dogs life in the home with mental stimulation and exercises.
• To teach fun exercises that always have a purpose but that your dog enjoys to boost move and provide huge 'reward'. Training is not always about obedience!
• Each session is followed up with detailed notes on the exercises we cover.
• This initial session can be followed by 1 to 1 sessions to build on the exercises from this initiall session, and add more to keep dogs learning and interested.
